SBTF~November Blog Hop
Holiday Decor is out theme this month, let’s see what everyone has for you.
Here is my Poinsettia Petals Garland. This was such a fun project and easy!

This garland was so easy to put together. First I used a 10 bulb strand of lights from the Dollar Store. This one has clear lights on it, but if you can get the ones with yellow lights, they would look really pretty with the yellow centers.
I then made from the Poinsettia Dies, 10 sets of the three petals, ten sets of the two sizes of leaves and ten of the centers. A little hint when you are die cutting the centers. I used a 3/16″ hole punch to punch a hole in the Daffadil Delight card stock, then centered the die on it and cut it out! As for the centers of the petals, they fit easily in my 3/16″ hole punch. There is one of these on your cropadile if you have one.
Then I took the Poinsettia Petals and gently squeezed them to give a 3D effect to them. Then I simply use two glue dots on the backside of the smaller petal, lined it up over the medium sized petals. Then repeated with two glue dots on the back of the medium petal and lined up over the larger one. Be sure you use the punched hole as your guide to lining up the centers. I then proceded to role up a glue dot and adhere to the back of the center and lined that up also. To attach the leaves, I again used two glue dots down at the base of the leaf and attached where I thought they were most attractive!
The last step is to push them onto your lights. If they do not fit snugly enough, you can put a glue dot on one side of the light, then push the flower on to the light and it should stay.
Here is a photo of one up close.

I have had so much fun with this Poinsettia Place Suite. Look back here to see a card I made with it.

SBTD ~ Oct Blog Hop Holiday Gifts

Welcome to the October Stampers By The Dozen blog hop.
I am featuring the Poinsettia Petals Bundle, which I used to make a lovely ornament you could use as a gift or just simply a beautiful home decor piece.

In this first photo I used all three layers of the poinsettia to create a full flower with three leaves and a little piece of gold berries. I made two complete sets of this flower so that no matter which way it turned it looked just like this. I used dimensionals and glue dots to hold it together. The ribbon looped through the middle is our Gold Metallic ribbon with Gold Metallic Pearls to create the center. To give the leave “a lift” I used my you pick tool with the large stylus end. By running your stylus along the vein of the petals or leaves, you cause your cardstock to “lift”.
Here is another one I made with just the two smaller sets of petals.

This ornament I made the same way as the first with just two of the smaller petals and added one of the Gold Hoops. I just love how these are coming out and what wonderful gifts they will make. I wish you could see them in person. For a little shine, you may want to put a little wink of stella on the leaves. Another idea would be to edge each of the petals with versa mark and emboss with gold emobossing powder.

This shot is of the center of the ornament before coming up with ideas to hide this. A couple of things you can do to hide the dimensionals are, one color the edges of the dimensional with a marker the same color as you cardstock. Or two, you could use glue dots to adhere the tips of the front and back petals to close this gap between layers. I think either way looks finished.
The ideas and color variations are endless. Give this project a try and please show me what you have created. I hope I have inspired you to use the Poinsettia Petals bundle.
Let’s see what’s up next for you.
Here are the items I used:
Marker of your choice to color dimensionals if you wish

Dove of Hope bundle

Hi! Today features the Dove of Hope bundle. I will show you three cards, each one stepped up a little from the last. I love all three and glad that I don’t have to choose because it is so easy to make them all with just a few items. Some of which you may already have. Let’s take a look at the first card I made withe the Dove of Hope bundle.

This is the first card I made with the Dove of Hope bundle. It is a thick white card base (8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″), cherry cobbler layer (5 1/4″ X 4″) and a third whisper white layer (4 3/4″ X 3 1/2″). The wing is cut from whisper white cardstock using the Detailed Dove dies. The body is a die also from the Detailed Dove dies. The words Peace * Joy * Love are stamped with Cherry Cobbler ink and are from the Dove of Hope stamp set. Inside I stamped “May your season be filled with all the wonder and blessings of Christmas” also from the Dove of Hope stamp set. I have a 2″ X 4″ piece of Plaid Tidings designer paper. I used a gold metallic pearl for the eye.

This is the second card I made with the Dove of Hope bundle. I added the little fern from the Detailed Dove dies cut from gold foil.

This is the third card I made with the Dove of Hope bundle. It is a thick white card base (8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″), cherry cobbler layer (5 1/4″ X 4″) and a third whisper white layer (4 3/4″ X 3 1/2″). The whisper white layer I embossed with the Subtle 3D embossing folder to give it texture. The wing is cut from gold foil using the Detailed Dove dies. The body is also in gold foil using the Detailed Dove dies. I added the little fern from the Detailed Dove dies cut from gold foil and a second from some Cherry Cobbler scrap. The words Peace * Joy * Love are stamped with Cherry Cobbler ink and are from the Dove of Hope stamp set. Inside I stamped “May your season be filled with all the wonder and blessings of Christmas” also from the Dove of Hope stamp set.

SBTD ~ Leaves September blog hop

Welcome to the Stampers By The Dozen September blog hop. September is a favorite time of month for me. Guess this is why I had chosen this month to get married! I have happily celebrated my 37th year married recently.
This month I have featured leaves, cut from the Nature’s Roots dies.
By cutting and embossing the leaves, I created a real leaf effect. There are many ways to use these leaves. Here you see the leaves were left just as they are in their card stock colors of Cherry Cobbler, Cinnamon Cider and Crushed Curry and attached with dimensional’s. A second way you could use them is to sponge the same colored ink. This would show some contrast. A third way is crinkling them before adhering them. Resulting in more dimension.
The card base I used is Cinnamon Cider. The layered card stock color used was Just Jade. Embossed with the Pinewood Planks embossing folder, adding more texture. If you wished to have some added depth, sponge some like colored ink.
I cut the Happy Thanksgiving from the Word Wishes dies.
The designer paper, which adds a wonderful layer, is from the Flowers for Every Season package.
When you get your Nature’s Roots, which coordinate with the Rooted In Nature stamp set, show me what you have created. I am always so excited to see what you have created with your stamps and dies.

SBTD Are Celebrating 3 Years Together

A big congratulations to the Stampers By The Dozen blog hop members, celebrating 3 years! I have only been a member for a short time, but just love seeing what everyone shares each month.
For this months card, Thinking of You, I have chosen a Christmas card using Winter Woods and A Wish For Everything stamp sets. These are two of my favorites and they get used quite often.

The card base is Mossy Meadow card stock and I also used Very Vanilla card stock, gold foil sheets. I just love the way the Evergreen Forest 3 D embossing folder shows up on the gold foil. So much detail shows up with just a quick run through the cut & emboss machine. The embellishments are red rhinestones and Real Red sheer ribbon. I used the Timeless label punch (a gift at On Stage one year) and the In The Woods dies. Please be sure to contact me if you would like more information. This just might be my personal Christmas card this year, but who knows, it is still early. It is important to me to let friends, family and customers know I am thinking of you.
Again, a huge congratulations to the Stampers By The Dozen members celebrating three years. Click here if you want to check out last months blog hop.

SBTD ~ Seabed 3D Embossing Folder

Using the Seabed 3D Embossing Folder again as a background, I was able to enhance the little underwater scene. I covered this scene with painted window sheet. Check out my Facebook live and YouTube channel to see how I made it.

SBTD ~ Basket of Blooms

Basket of Blooms
Basket of Blooms is a wonderful new set in the 2020-2021 Stampin’Up! catalog. So happy it coordinates with the Small Bloom punch. I have listed the supplies I used below. This is just a little sampling of the potential this set has. I think you would find many uses for the Basket of Blooms stamp set.
