Welcome to the Stampers By The Dozen September blog hop. September is a favorite time of month for me. Guess this is why I had chosen this month to get married! I have happily celebrated my 37th year married recently.
This month I have featured leaves, cut from the Nature’s Roots dies.
By cutting and embossing the leaves, I created a real leaf effect. There are many ways to use these leaves. Here you see the leaves were left just as they are in their card stock colors of Cherry Cobbler, Cinnamon Cider and Crushed Curry and attached with dimensional’s. A second way you could use them is to sponge the same colored ink. This would show some contrast. A third way is crinkling them before adhering them. Resulting in more dimension.
The card base I used is Cinnamon Cider. The layered card stock color used was Just Jade. Embossed with the Pinewood Planks embossing folder, adding more texture. If you wished to have some added depth, sponge some like colored ink.
I cut the Happy Thanksgiving from the Word Wishes dies.
The designer paper, which adds a wonderful layer, is from the Flowers for Every Season package.
When you get your Nature’s Roots, which coordinate with the Rooted In Nature stamp set, show me what you have created. I am always so excited to see what you have created with your stamps and dies.
